I'm Not Sure How Many Of You Really Care AnymoreYou see, when you grow up around all this technological stuff it's easy to fall into the rhythms and do your job. For me I didn't own a computer until I was fifteen. I'm 19 now and thanks to that it's going to take me a while to get adjusted. Now that I have finished school (for good for now since university is currently out of the books) I'm trying to get my footing in the world of work which is proving very difficult. It's been a year and I still haven't gotten a job. But, enough about my personal problems.
What You Really Came Here To Hear... I HopeI am working on several projects right now, which include music (I do singing and songwriting when the writing becomes to pedantic and stressful) and my books. I really try my hardest to write the best material I can, so whenever I 'finish' a project and I don't like the end result.... I get rid of it. That explains why I have two books on my Smashwords page whose sequels have yet to see the light of day. Quite honestly, I have no clue when I'll be finishing those. If ever.
What I Can Say Now Without Giving Away Too MuchFor those of you who care but were unaware I released a novella last September called 'Everything Has Changed'. Real lovey-dovey, cliche type stuff (I have never denied being a hopeless romantic). Below is a picture and blurb of the book which you can check out at Smashwords.com.
Ever since meeting Barrington Kirk that first day of college, Anthony
McCoy has had more than 'just friendly' feelings toward the other
male. For years he's tried his hardest to push them aside in an effort
to get on with his life and not wreck his relationship with his best
friend. When Barry moves to New York after graduation the two drift
apart, especially after Barry gets married to a woman named Rebecca
and stops contacting Anthony. Anthony gets a chance at happiness when
he meets Rebecca's cousin and starts up a relationship.
Even if he didn't admit it to himself, he's always felt like something
was missing from his relationship. When tragedy strikes their lives
Barry reveals his true feelings to Anthony who is quick to deny them.
But, with the intervention of their family, Anthony is forced to
recognise the truth behind Barry's words and move forward in their
That was my little pet project to submit to a publisher. In hindsight the writing is fairly amateurish for the level I am at right now so it was more than a little ambitious submitting it. Well after it got turned down I did my best to polish it up and then I released it. If you have anything to say about it feel free to let me know. I don't get enough reviews (or any, really) and they would really help become a better writer.
Well that's all for now I suppose. I'll definitely be utilising this platform more and more as time goes on. It's a miracle they haven't shut it down yet, I've been so AWOL.
Have a good day guys and I'll be sure to update you on my projects as they go. I may very well need some Beta readers soon so drop me a line.
